How nice of them to make a door big enough for your mom.

[–] 2 pts

I am fairly sure that you indented to say "wide enough".

[–] 3 pts

I'm fairly certain you intended to say "intended"

[–] 3 pts

hummmm. Fair enough. Must be that train smoke.

[–] 3 pts

No they just roll her on her side and push her through like that one girl from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

[–] 1 pt

Or just frog march her through sideways so the hips will fit ....

[–] 6 pts

Or...there are people who make tall doors for tall buildings.

The skeletons are much more convincing.

The skeletons are much more convincing.

Would those be 'giant' skeletons that have never undergone any rigorous analysis or DNA testing for (((reasons)))?

[–] [deleted] 3 pts

you mean because all the bones are locked away by museums, so no analysis can actually be done?

check out the role museums play in keeping historic artifacts and ancient knowledge from the public. They will grab up a collection of artifacts, deem them "ordinary," then lock them away in their archives where no one can touch them.

Next do the Vatican.

[–] 1 pt

The common man is never taught there are tens of thousands of Out of Place Artifacts at larger museums in the US. And still fairly common at many smaller museums in other countries. Combined they well establish the commonly accepted history of ancient humanity is complete bullshit.

I was unfamiliar with the DNA part but yes that’s what I meant.

[–] 0 pt

You mean like "dinosaur bones"?

[–] 2 pts

If the doors were for giants why are the handles down at somewhat normal height

[–] 0 pt

Did you miss the other handles that are at like 20 feet?

I'm sure they would just bust out the extension ladder for those ones.

[–] 0 pt

The hatch 5 meters up begs to differ.

[–] 0 pt

There is a sliding mechanism operated from a handle on the right door

[–] 2 pts

A little 3-in-1 (WD40 suck a dick) will that the creek right out of those hinges.

It is pretty amazing that a multi ton door made in the middle ages can be pushed closed easily by 1 person.

[–] [deleted] 4 pts

Na would need grease for that, the doors would burn off that wd40 after a week

[–] 0 pt

Exactly. Wd40 is a degreaser. It would actually make it worse in the long run.

[–] 2 pts

LOl, there were ....... Giant doors .

[–] 2 pts (edited )

Humans are actually growing in height. I was at a medieval castle as a kid and probably about 5'4" I'm estimating at about 12. The doorways were small and if I was there with my current adult height I would have had to semi duck my way through. Even the suits of armor on display were small.

[–] 1 pt

There were small people aswell. Dont be narrow minded! :)

[–] 1 pt

That click on closure was satisfying.

[–] 1 pt

Naw, just motivated white guys with money.

[–] 1 pt

I think the ancient world had a bunch of Wizard of OZ like fakery to scare and intimidate enemies.

"Don't make us open those doors and release the awful god we keep behind them."

With someone on the other side screaming, barking and raving like an utter lunatic .....
