It’s probably closer to 80% follow, 20% lead and influence. There’s nothing you can do to “wake up” that 80% to be like the 20%, but you can be someone they follow. You can’t change their nature. The catch is you have to be a better leader and influencer than their other options.

An unpleasant truth is that being right can be powerful in the hands of a skilled leader, but it doesn’t automatically make you a better leader than someone who is wrong.

Uh, it doesn’t make as easy math, but it’s more like 0.01%.
