It's that people don't check "offensive viewpoints" essentially the other side of their argument. People are self-censoring and policing themselves because feelings.

People want to put the least amount of effort into everything and are more than happy to outsource critical thinking to others.

Clearly not that. You have access to more information than people ever had access too anytime in history. No library ever carried this much info. Let's watch funny cat videos!

Before the internet, no matter how great the library, it had an abysmal selection of cat videos.

I love cat videos. But seriously, we have a culture now that seems to be proud of its own ignorance. While simultaneously claiming intellectual superiority. Isn’t that strange?

Looks like the case for genetics is getting stronger.

Close, but not true.

Collective stupidity is now defined by the lack of information on the internet. Who do you think is banning it? Who do you think is blocking any dissenting opinions on the www? The internet is the great awakening. They will have to kill us all to silence it.

Reddit is a huge voice for ...them.

Voat was a beer putsch.

Poal is where we've been gathering before kristallnacht.

The internet is the great awakening.

All I can think of when I read "great awakening" is: Trust the Plan! WWG1WGA! Patriots are in control!

Which is a great example for mass stupidity.

He's not wrong, though. The term has been coopted by fanatical fan boys, but the fact remains that the ready flow of information has drastically changed the world.

That was the problem actually. The problem now is that the masses have access to "information" that supports what they already believe. Confirmation bias is everywhere.

We went from an age of highly controlled information (MSM), to the Information Age, to the Misinformation Age in the span of a couple of decades.
