People are so delusional. The core base drives of human behavior have remained the same. Think about it. People only moved to the new world to escape the assholes and leeches of the old world and to profit. They were pioneers who conquered and tamed the land. Eventually transportation became technologically advanced enough that a long ass boat trip became a couple hours plane flight.
