You don't get court martialed for losing a rifle, you just get yelled at and everyone has to stop what their doing and look for it until they find it, even if it takes days.
And if it still can't be found, the soldier has to pay for it, up to a certain amount. The amount is capped for enlisted men.
There's no cap for officers, though. You reeeeally don't want to lose an expensive piece of equipment you've signed for.
"MAJOR, WHY THE FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUCK ARE YOU A HOWITZER SHORT?"
"uh yeah sir about that...."
Yeah, they'll get their money if it comes to it.
man those fuckers are lucky they dont work at mobil refineries in australia.
protip - if you cant find your work pushbike at a refinery
try looking up
if you still cant find it
look further up
and god help you if you park a work vehicle in a way that blocks other vehicles in a process unit. forklifts tend to solve those problems.
the keys for those forklifts suddenly disappear when the vehicle needs to be removed from its new parking space.
