My brother printer knows to keep his mouth shut.
I don't even have a printer. They're afraid of this house.
lol!
This is the first printer I've had I actually like. Not that I use it much, but it is handy to have at times.
The last machine I had was a Brother B&W Laser. I have to say it quietly did it's $119.00 job until the drum went bad, no fuss or mess while it worked.
That was probably 15 years ago.
Because you can't keep your genitalia away from it.
No, that's what the HP5243L Nixie Tube Counter is for, pervert.
I heard they are coming out with a printer for ghetto celebrities called "Mah Nigga"
lmao.. But I like my printers to work
It does but not before 12pm in the morning.
I'll just leave this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9wsjroVlu8
I've done that. There's a reason for it.
This scene (and the movie in general) strikes a nerve with any person who has had to work with printers frequently. This is something that most of us have felt the urge to do at many moments.
I've actually dealt with TPS reports, so I know the pain.
the issue is usually inevitably the user. I repair printers. User error is nearly 100% of the issues
Damn near 30 years later, and we frequently plot doing an "office space" on our modern Xerox. You son of a bitch, you've got plenty of 8.5"x11" paper in tray 4, WHY DO YOU REFUSE TO PRINT UNLESS WE FILL TRAY 1 WITH THE SAME SHIT PAPER??
Oh, and if you scan a particular pattern of dots, your printer snitches and the secret service comes after your ass.
Fucking PC Load Letter...
Give them all the lowest marks you can.
Turns out that's one of the questions. The other three are going to be asked anyway.
And you can't print or scan until you answer them?
you can get away, disconnect the damned thing from the network
You mean to tell me you can shut off the internet?! 😱 💥
I literally just have a laser printer that uses toner, fuck these inkjet printers.
Yea fuck dem fuckin jets niggggaaaaa!
At least you still can choose 'no'.
Hello Admin for Office 365, we want your feedback and won't let you do your 3 minute task until you take our 10 minute survey!
Fucking hell...
Would you recommend Office 365 to your colleagues?
No.
Why?
Because of this fucking survey.
Not sure if open source printers exist, but I managed to replace my Roku ad-box with a Raspberry Pi Zero W 2 running Kodi (LibreElec). Now I can watch Odysee and Bitchute on my TV (or even Youtube w/o ads). TheCrew plugin + RealDebrid allows me to watch any TV show or movie for free.
Just bought a Sony TV. Remote has 4 sponsored service buttons (Amazon/Netflix/ect...). Took some white sticker paper and taped over them. Disregarded all the smart TV bullshit (not connected to the internet).
Security system is running Zoneminder. Took another Raspberry Pi Zero W 2 and turned it into a pan/tilt security cam.
My 3D printer is a Creality Ender 3 and the firmware is all open source and readily modded.
Put together a home-brew router using Debian to VPN traffic/mask DNS before it goes through the untrustworthy ISP gateway.
Removed Windows from every PC except one (used for gaming). Hope to one day remove it as well.
There is this amazing feeling of not playing by their rules and circumventing their slave grid. It's worth the effort. Profoundly satisfying. The more you can untether yourself from the grid the more you connect with the natural order.
Do you have any literature on how to setup your raspberry pi tv gig? I like my Roku, I use it for the Plex server I run, but if I want to watch (((YouTube))) the ads are unbearable and like you said, no Odysee or bitchute support. Does Kodi support Plex?
It's pretty much just a matter of acquiring a Raspberry Pi (I would recommend a Pi 4 if you are doing 4k) and flashing LibreElec to a flash card with enough space. Librelec is basically a basic Linux OS that runs that the Kodi app exclusively so that it behaves more like a Roku (turn on and stream). It doesn't require much space so any flash card > 4Gigs would work.
They have a tool to download the ISO and flash to usb. Once flashed you're pretty much ready to boot and install apps. The Youtube app requires some hoops to setup but once setup there are no ads and you basically have the same functionality as the Roku app.
In terms of parts I would recommend:
Rpi 4 2 or 4GB: Might need to search around for a good price. They used to sell for $30-40 but now they are being scalped for $100+.
Rpi 4 Kodi case: https://www.amazon.com/Flirc-Raspberry-Pi-Case-Kodi/dp/B07WG4DZR6/ref=sr_1_3?crid=PON9JJGM61FJ&keywords=raspberry+pi+4+kodi+case&qid=1641085963&sprefix=raspberry+pi+4+kodi+ca%2Caps%2C262&sr=8-3 - $16
Remote: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071RTDYV2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - $17
Storage: SAMSUNG (MB-ME32GA/AM) 32GB 95MB/s (U1) microSDHC EVO: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XWN9Q99/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - $10-20
Back when I did my last build it costed around $100 in total. Now it's probably closer to $150.
I'm running Kodi Matrix 10.0.1 on a Pi 4 and it works great. 4K/HDR plays fluidly (hardware accelerated) and the wireless 5 ghz throughput is 200 mbps+. Low power draw as well.
Kodi basically behaves like Plex. You can either store the videos on the Pi flash card or you can stream over wireless from your PC using Samba (Windows share) or NFS (Linux). It worth noting that RealDebrid + TheCrew has basically obsoletes torrenting and storing movies/tv episodes on the machine if you have an acceptable internet connection (> 5mbps). TheCrew connects you with the pirated movies/tv sources and RealDebrid essentially does the downloading/streaming of the torrents. https://troypoint.com/real-debrid/.
Kodi requires an adjustment period to get used to since it can feel quirky, convoluted and unpolished at times. But once you get adjusted I think most people will find it superior to Roku/Plex. I cant imagine going back to Roku+Plex.
I bought a new printer a couple years ago. Only fucking WiFi printers are available now. No more plug the fucking cord into the computer and print, noooooooo that was too fucking easy. The fucking printer shows up in the available printers but when you try to send something it's "not found". FUCK IT.
