Back when the world still made some kinda sense.

The apex of civilization. The major wars were fought but even though dark times were coming, at this moment none of that was set in stone and wasn't yet established. The height of technology and culture. Where wisdom and technology were on the same level. Every city was safe and filled with respectable, well-mannered citizens and they held their political leaders to a certain standard and the people were respected and obeyed by authority. Good food, clean habitat. The culture was uniform so everyone had a set of expectations and values that were honest and good and aligned with nature. Women and men knew their station in life and made the most of it instead of trying to lie to themselves and ending up making the least. This was a time when communism and tyranny were so repugnant as to be on the outer fringes. This allowed people the freedom to explore, expand, create and invent under a system that supported individual achievement as well as cultural cohesion.
