You find interesting stuff in old houses. I have found blueprints for the house, old magazines, random stuff from when a addition was added that was from that time period.

You don't see that anymore for the most part. You have to buy something old to experience it (for the most part).

The year 1975 (that's 50 years ago), this girl sees the renovators leave and hatches an idea "I'm going to leave a little note for someone to find in the future." and indeed it would be some time before it is seen again. What is this teenagers thoughts about life? Her parents, her siblings, and rather bright outlook on an upcoming sibling too. She loves them all, lets known what her parents occupation is, and tops it off wishing the reader a good day as well.

As small nothing for her, it was "just a smile" to brighten a strangers day, well it passed on to that man, and that man passed it along to us.
