It's worthwhile to make this point -- that homosexuality was never the norm in ancient Greece, and was never widely accepted by the Greek peoples.

Remember the line in the movie 300 where Leonidas, the King of Sparta, makes a mocking reference to the "boy lovers" in Athens? His attitude was the common attitude toward homosexuality across ancient Greece. It was discouraged and disparaged.

Good info. It's kinda like how most of the references in the "List of homosexual animals" in wikipedia are all from one homo(https://pic8.co/sh/EgcF39.png).

Chrysippus was kidnapped by the Theban prince Laius, his tutor, who was escorting him to the Nemean Games, where the boy planned to compete. Instead, Laius carried him off to Thebes and raped him, a crime for which he, his city, and his family were later punished by the gods.
