People who think bitcoin is anonymous are idiots. The block chain records every transaction. You can see where the coin came from and where it went. Sure... it does not say your name, just a wallet address which can be de-anaonymized the same way they de-anaonymize web browsers. Not practical for individuals but child's play for for big brother google. Even if you are super paranoid about your data they can piece together a web of transactions around your to figure it out. Oh, so you mined the coin your self? So who knows you mined it? Oh just the entire fucking block chain. That's kind of how it works When you mine a block it would be pretty easy for it to be tracked back to your IP. So yeah... maybe if you mine the coin through a tor connection and are all super slick on every detail and you have some 100% anonymous coin... They can still track what you do with it once you mine it. Oh so you privately exchanged IDs offline? ... this just goes on and on. It is not anonymous unless you never spend it.
