I watched all of this stage in the Tour de France. It looked to me as though the spectator deliberately stepped out in front of the riders and stood there, waiting to get hit. I think this was malicious. They should throw the book at her ... and after they pick the book up, charge her to the full extent of French law.

The peleton (a tight group of riders, the main bunch) was moving along at a good clip, filling the road from side to side. There was no way for anyone to stop or swerve around this bitch, who in my view deliberately caused the crash.
