This is natural market forces at work. With lumber prices sky-high, the mills were cranking it out as fast as possible. The consequence, which anyone could predict, is that the price would go down when there was enough of a glut on the market. There's no harm here. The mills have already made their profits. Now it's time for them to take a little hit on the price.
