Probably bones? I don't imagine there's much tissue left after a week on the sea bottom. The tissue would have been a smorgasbord of a buffet.

Why do we care? We know everyone is dead. In most cases they wouldn't even have bothered to recover wreckage with how deep it was.
Maybe they just wanted to use their rovs in a field test or something.
