I'm not that old. That's my parents generation.

There's no real defense against WW3.

Good for them. But pure normie large scale phycological tactics for motivating the population to unite together against a common cause.

Must be doing something right tho, unlike ukraine which has been forcibly conscripting citizens (including snatched off the streets) Russia's SMO has been run on 'volunteers' - since the first call for mobilization announced last year upwards of 400 000 russian citizens have applied - and then contract with the RF Armed forces for training and outfitting etc. seems fairly lucrative for the average russian - evidently three times the average yearly wage per (6 month) contract period.

There are "volunteer" ads on every corner, and it's true that it's fairly lucrative as you get 100k rubles on average, which is on par with an upper manager's salary. But what good will that money do if you end up crippled or dead? There are many such stories. I wouldn't want to become another meat shield in the trenches fighting jew wars for measly $1k lol. Plus the forced conscription waves never went away. All in all, it's a good way to make some money if you got nothing else going on, and I know many people who did just that, but the risks are still there.

Sure, dont disagree at all. cannon fodder has always meant those at the bottom of the social hierarchy. I certainly value a much more motivated force (even if only for the rubles) over those plucked off the street and not given a choice.

There was a fairly good ytube interview with some russian volunteers at the very begining of the SMO (cant remember the channel) and then the guy went back and got in touch several months later with one of the guys that kinda stood out (Cocky Russian lawyer - or something on the podcast channel) following him through the initial sign up and then extended his contract a second time after buying his own more personalized gear with his rubles (and payed off all his bills , lol).

EDIT Found it -

They actually take civil defense seriously.

What? You mean an "OMFG ALEEEEEEEEEEERT" isn't serious? This is a serious matter and we're taking it seriously!

They should destroy Ukraine and pop a few nuclear missiles down on Washington DC, New York, LA, San Fagcisco, Seattle and Portland. Nothing but filth would be lost.

The left did this. The communist libtards and femorats are a massive danger to have lingering around and need to be removed.
