Armando Pérez, the candidate for the National Action Party, and Miguel Angel Zavala, from the Morena party, were both killed in the last 24 hours in Maravatio. Both men were found dead in their cars, pictures from the scenes revealed. During the last nationwide election in 2021, about three dozen candidates were killed. The campaigns haven´t started yet - but formally begin on Friday."
