The crazy thing is the following;
Australia, is like, completely paranoid about germs and foreign species getting imported on its soil, and for good reason (I guess) since they got a rather serious rabbit problem early on, and it's still one to this day. So I imagine there's a lot of episodes such as this one that I haven't even heard about. So they are "paranoid" about diseases, invading species and shit. Which is turns translates into an authoritarian .gov handling of the matter.
But at the same time, they've imported a fuckton of chimp out niggers . They've failed to remain consistent on the most critical part of their own "anti-plague" policy, for lack of better words. Like all western nations, they've failed to see the obvious, for ideological reasons, mostly
