First impressions:

Overall, I really like the watch, with a couple of exceptions:

  1. Most people report this Jubilee bracelet being more comfortable, but I don’t like the feel so far.

  2. I like the seconds hand much better on my other watches.

In the 90s I worked for a place that sent us all over the world to install special pumps we manufactured. One of the guys came back from Taiwan showing off the Rolex he bought there. He said he couldn't believe the great deal he got. It cost him $38 USD. We all laughed when his wrist turned green.....

I bought all 3 of mine from authorized dealers. Not going to happen to me. LOL. That guy sounds like a moron.

A moron is some one who spends any thing over 500 dollars or 50 dollars really on a fucking watch

[–] 1 pt

Lol there are watches that retail for $80k. That way you can watch time fly when someone steals it.

[–] 1 pt

How are they morons if they can comfortably afford to spend that much on a watch?

Aren’t you the moron for not being able to?

I got a buddy who is into watches. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

I wouldn't spend money on any kind of JEWelry. There are much more practical things to spend money on, like ammo.

Try not to get shot up for your shiny piece of imported metal.

I will buy a high quality good knock off... I lose watches and hardly... wait never wear one so no way I'm spenf 20k on a fucking watch

It's a nice watch. Personally, I can't justify paying thousands of dollars for something that does what a twenty dollar watch does. Plus, I'd be worried about losing it or getting it damaged, or stolen. A Rolex is like an expensive Italian sports car -- great engineering, but do you really what to park it at Walmart? And you can't just throw it away when it stops working. You have to find an official Rolex engineer to clean and oil and adjust it. For what the watch costs, they could come to your house, but they don't.

These will last; that’s part of the appeal. It’s not some cheap, throw-away trinket.

Purty. I'd never get a good watch like that, I'd wind up destroying it banging or grinding it on something.

Part of the appeal of Rolex is that they take a beating.

I bought a titanium Fossil watch 20 years ago and it's been through hell. Still wear it occasionally.

Nice watch. The grey dial seems a little understated for your usual taste I'm surprised. Whats the dial size on a skydweller?

[–] 1 pt

Thanks. Case is 42mm. The dial is Black, but not catching the light well enough, I guess.

Ah must be crystal reflection washing it out in the photo. Nice Christmas present to yourself! I've recently been into weird pocket watches. I may try to assemble one

If you could assemble a watch…WOW. Watchmaking is not easy.

I'm rocking a $12 watch from Walmart. I've looked into getting nicer watches but this one works and I don't feel bad when it gets all dinged up and dirty from working.

A nice watch is more than a timepiece. It's ingenuity and craftsmanship. I aint got it like queens do so I don't have anything worth more than maybe a grand if I found the right buyer at the right time and my dick was hanging the right way, but my pieces are important to me because they show something unique and passionate from the maker.

My grandfather just passed away and I'm trying to get his gold watch, but it's broken. I'd like to have it fixed so it works again, that way I'd have a nice watch for special occasions and then my cheap watch for beating up at work. I definitely see the appeal, I just don't have the money for something really nice that I'd like. I did find a cool watch that retails for $200 at the bottom of the lake once when I was diving. I gave it to a friend as a gift.

Is his watch mechanical wind, automatic, quartz, or a proprietary system like accutron or eco drive etc? What brand? Even if it doesn't run its a memory of your grandfather so worth wearing and caring for, but it may be an easy fix

What the actual fuck. I could've bought one of my dream cars for what you probably paid for that.

[–] 2 pts

your dream car is a Honda civic?

[–] 1 pt

our dream car is a Honda civic?

Might be mine, if it's tricked out.

[–] 0 pt

lol how much does he think this costs? Hahaha

Subaru BRZ/Toyota FRS.

I wanted one too, a Toyota 86. I got in touch with a dealer and couldn't get one with TRD suspension package so I said fuck it they are also terribly slow. but yeah this watch costs less than a Slowbaru BRZ/ Toyota Eighty-slow/ Scion FRSlow
