As soon as Trump enacted the tariffs I saw a story from US retailers who sell—or try to sell—on Amazon. They say they frequently get reported for selling counterfeit goods when they retail known commercial brands on their Amazon stores. Amazon believes the accusers with no evidence and makes them take down their product listing or their entire store. Then several Chinese sellers immediately pop up selling the same products.
It’s one of the reasons why Amazon is full of sketchy Chinese sellers.
The tariffs are unrelated to this, but they are serving sweet justice for all the honest, US based sellers who have been abused by Amazon’s system.
