You would think they would want that as a security feature. If China invades right now, they lose everything. If half of your production is State side, you can have some operations going while the chinks steal the Taiwan production plants, so that way, thr Taiwanese could destroy the sensitive stuff before getting taken over, but still have their companies running where they can't be touched.

You would think, but there's a chance this could be more of a "Fuck you, we're not settling into your demands" deal.

Had there been a "Hey, we'd like you to come here and do this, here's some land and some incentives, and some free hookers n blow" in there, it may have been better.

It all depends on asking or telling.
