What about all the nuclear waste? Coal may have air pollution, but there’re filters for that. Additionally, nuclear costs more.

All coal is radioactive. This is fact what is largely captured by those filters. It's also how we know millions of Jews were not incinerated; as its scientifically proven impossible. But I digress. The cleaned ash from coal plants is nuclear waste and treated accordingly. So much for nuclear waste concerns.
Nuclear's pricing is artificially inflated. By more than 4x. Who benefits? In spite of every nuclear accident and all uranium/ plutonium mining, nuclear remains the safest, cheapest, and least land use per Mwh.
In fact, all those opposing nuclear actually make the world more dangerous by requiring outdated reactors remain in use while newer, safer, and cheaper designs exist. Not to mention, there are a variety of new reactor designs which could completely change the face of nuclear. And burn all that "waste" as fuel.
