Linux is not a 100% solution anymore. M$ has taken over the Linux Foundation (through donations) and probably has Linus himself on the payroll.
OpenBSD used to be user supported (you had to pay for an installable CD) but now it's free. Somebody is paying for it. Here I suspect the NSA.

Yes, but it's open source and there's a whole bunch of security obsessed reasearchers who chase down issues in it's code. If there were something as obvious as a keylogger I'm pretty sure it'd be found quickly.

He's been neutralised. Back during the CoC debacle he announced he was taking a break to work through some personal issues related to his behaviour and the SJW "creators covenant" was installed.
