Make no mistake, while the constitution of france provides dictatorial powers to the president in case of emergency (the 5th constitution was created by an army general), he can also be completely cucked by the national assembly (the equivalent of congress)

In a couple of days now, there's another round of elections, it's called "the legislatives"; that's where people vote for who's going to be their congressmen essentially

And macron is going to have to compose a government with a massive opposition, from left to right

He's neither a "republican" ("les républicains") nor a "democrat" ("le parti socialiste"), his party is a new one he created for his presidential run

Needless to mention that he's neither "far right" nor "far left"

This election cycle, the socialist party which is the equivalent of dems got wrecked like never before, https://pic8.co/sh/X2kPHM.jpg They did 1.74% (pink) in the first round, absolute disaster, and the "les républicains" (equivalent of reps) did slightly better; 4.79% https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QT13kk8HDDo

Far left (red) did slightly less than lepen

So a big far left and a big far right, that's the pool he's going to have to compose with. And they'll forward candidates, and he'll have to pick his ministers in that pool, prime minister included... That's how it works lol

So yeah, good luck with that...

That being said, the role of the french president is to deal with international affairs (ukraine) prime minister deals with internal affairs

So, you get the idea

Now what will french vote for the legislatives? Their as usual candidate, which often doesn't match what party they voted for during the presidential election, or a guy from the party they voted for during the said election?

Hard to tell, but one thing remains consistent; once a french voter votes marine lepen, he never goes back, he never votes for anything else afterward, it's a constant, since decades, which isn't true for the rest of the parties

  • the most eyebrow-raising performance was by the Abstention/Nullified/Blank candidate: 16,674,963 votes.

Abstention was at all time high yes, but that's not new or anormal, it's rising since years many people either don't vote because they are done with politics, or just because they're completely retarded and can't be bothered with that their candidate didn't make it past the 1st round

Blank is yet another deal, and null/invalid also

But yeah, we can suspect one or more of those categories hides something else but then you need extraordinary proof for it... And we don't have that

But again, the legistlatives are the real strategic vote that "most people" neglect, because it's much less spectacular, but the president needs a majority in the national assembly, a majority willing to support him and his camp and their ideas if he wants to get his shits done, because otherwise it's dead in the water
