He also made a threat at school but wasn’t arrested (what?), was in a mental hospital and police wonder if he should’ve been under active surveillance(what?).

We have homeless people beating and robbing people but this kid needs surveillance? Well in this case he actually did but everyone who makes a threat?

The body armor angle won't go far because there are too many ways to make good body armor on your own. Hell those guys in LA back in the early 90s made some kick ass ballistic 3 suits. Demolition ranch periodically shoots improvised armor all the time. Really helps me with my gun considerations. Also note that the shooters always use ar-15s, because that is a cheap gun that can go through ballistic 3. Though with the new army battle rifle being in a propriety sig caliber, i expect the gun control stuff to go away for a bit due to the surplus of 5.56.

The last time i know of a shooter using .308 was the Arkansas school shooting of the mid 90s.

I just had to look that up, I knew they’d changed the m-60 but hadn’t heard about a new caliber/individual weapon system.
