I guarantee that that Intel CPU could beat it, but Apple has designed bad heat dissipation into their Macbooks on purpose just so they could go "See? ARM is faster" while ignoring the bad thermals that slowed down the Intel CPUs under high load.

Well, just doing simple speed metrics on a device that's 2.28x faster and uses newer technology than the old model is going to be a lot faster regardless. The point here is that the speed testing is pointless because it's literally apples and oranges.

Apple appears to be a company full of charlatans.

The new M1 based computers are only fast at encoding/decoding videos.

crApple's main target are students and vloggers.

My $1K Hackintosh still destroys every single computer they sell on the $8k price range.

The only reason I see Apple doing this is to stop people dual-booting their machines with Windows.
