It all comes down to style. One cannot deny that Bill is a fantastic guitarist. So was dimebag. Their ideas of the perfect tone differ greatly, but each found the tone that was perfect for them. There’s got to be an understanding of music theory to give you a base, from there you’re free to bend the rules and break them as need be. Your music must have feeling.
