Out in the real world...
I work in engineering and to be honest, I don't really know what is slated out for the end of the year in my company. Haven't really heard what our workload looks like.
What I do know is from friends working in other companies, mostly automation and they are all sweating it. Some are on reduced hours already and others have layoff rumors going around. None of them are looking at enough orders to get them through the year.
This is pretty much a recession proof industry. The only time in 35 years I have seen it bad was the year after 911.
So where is all that money they are talking about here going because they aren't buying new machines with it as far as I can tell.
