I'm always divided about this. Really, trying to expel new users every time they come is stupid, it fucks voat. From another angle, Reddit fags always come with Reddit cancerous behavior. Their mods can do anything and their users support their mods no matter what. I guess these big migrations are a problem.

So what if they migrate with redditfag behavior! If they weren't redditfags they'd already be on voat... reddit just is finding ways to kick more groups out wholesale.

Does Voat not believe in the tools available to keep redditmods from happening? It's happened time and time again when a redditmod tries to run things their way and everyone reeeees and ultimately another subverse was set up. Who cares! Did putt code subverse bans and content deletion tools in just to make reddit mods possible and fuck with goats?

Voat has a "spiral of purity" issue, where power holders (SBBH and PV) have of their own volition, defined what mods CAN and CANNOT do (despite all the ways putt coded to make other actions possible) and they attack anyone who dares run a subverse differently, even if they just want it concentrated on a specific subject. It shows in the way they destroy anything - posting off-topic shock and gore and porn.

Free speech... within the boundaries defined by them. I was on whoaverse which then became voat - at that time it was a place where people could have discussions usually with little to no trolling, up / down votes were reserved for either good, well thought out content, or just obvious trolling. Since the reddit mobs took over it's just turned into a giant circle jerk, hardly any different to reddit, just the political polar opposite.
