Almost half the states needed. This would be so great to see in my lifetime:. "limiting the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, term limits for Congress and other government officials, and fiscal restraints for the federal government."
It's cute you think they will do any of this. If the manage to get their assembly the Constitution will be changed to implement full communism.
Amendments are proposed by the Convention of States, 2/3 of the states call for the convention on a particular subject (not an anything goes meeting) then the State legislatures have to pass it. However, I can see scaring people into opposing it by saying they'll do whatever they want and destroy USA, (!!! oh noooooooo! don't let them meeeeeet !!!) then the term limits issue can be avoided and the career politicians can continue entrenched in congress making it marxist all they want.
