And that plant is to provide additional capacity when it's needed. It won't be cranking out chips regularly. Everyone thinks this plant is some kind of economic godsend and it's not.

The cities in the area seem to think so with the property tax increases they've been pumping out.

I just got a new Core i9 laptop. Guess what? I don't notice a significant speed improvement in my normal work flow because most of the tools I use are single core apps and each core runs only marginally faster than my 10 year old laptop. Intel is not producing a product that makes people go wow.

Consider I'm running an OS that is a big fucking pig and sucks a ton of power from the CPU. My apps are generally text editors, email and browers. They run fine on a Core i3. Now i wish i had bought a Ryzen 9. It has fewer cores, but faster ones.

Did I say fuck intel? Fuck Intel!

I have the Ryzen 7 3800X and I doubt I'll feel the need to update anytime soon. My laptop is an i7 and it's a nice little machine. Sucks power though, battery life is a joke, but it does have a 3070 in it as well.
