I've long suspected that Amazon is going to be data center providers while the rest like M$ will be moving away from it into a lease model. As for this project, it was never going to happen. Just more wishful thinking of some megacorporate savior coming along to "save" Ohio.
Microshaft's CEO has been quietly signalling that they would scale back on AI/Data Center investments. This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
Apparently they have a better deal in Pennsylvania. They're going to fire Three Mile Island back up and use that to exclusively power their AI data centers.
