I've been trying to play around with GEOS on C64, but haven't had success getting any mouse to work with the machine. Been meaning to dig into the C64 to find out why the Y axis doesnt work across the board for all mice I've tried.
Recently took a video for a coworker of using win 3.0a on a tandy 1000 TL, in tandy graphics mode. Super interesting stuff, for weirdos like me..
You need a legit Commodore 1351 mouse. There is also the micromys or equivalent, ps/2 or usb to De-9.
I learned that after buying an amiga mouse (didnt have the y problem, just didnt work period lol) and had a little mouse test program tell me it was an amiga mouse.
Then I bought two different versions of one of those Tom USB mouse/joystick adapters. Tried a dozen different usb mice, some wouldnt budge, some would have that no y axis problem.
Then finally I bought what was claimed to be a new old stock 1351 mouse. Fantastic shape, although it seemed to have been opened and taken out before I had my hands on it. No y axis, just like some of the usb adapted ones I tried.
So now I'm looking at the C64 machine itself. Well, when I get around to it. It has to get in line.
It is a defective CIA chip.

You're not the only one, and I are old-school computer veterans :)
Also Glenn has quite a bit of geos related tidbits and disk images/documentation on
