Yeah, it seems you cold already program a recording from the tv too.

At that point recording would have been the only use for those devices. There wasn't any content being put out to rent or buy. That was something that the following formats struggled with in the beginning.

That is a VCR. It's just not a VHS VCR.

That looks more like a BETA cassette by the size of it. My brother had a BETA VCR because the video quality was better. But VHS systems won the market because they were cheaper.

Yeah. You are probably right. I'm french speaking Belgian. We call them differently here. I didn't know VCR was used for other things than VHS tapes
