I don't think I've ever seen CEDs in this good of condition.

half price books is such a fucking rip off. Albeit sometimes you can find something cool there if you look in the right place.

I usually don't pay attention to the modern stuff they get. I usually only go in there to find weird stuff, or sets that they mark for nothing because not many people would want it. But, they do tend to mark stuff that they think is "worth" something up - I saw a 2nd edition of the K&R ANSI C book in there for $20. Not worth the paper it's printed on these days, but there it is.

The CEDs were all marked $5 and were in unplayed shape. There wasn't anything special in there, but I may go back to get one just to have one.

You want video disc movies? I have maybe a hundred. The previous owner of my house left a ton of them in the basement.

Thank you but no. I have nothing really to play them on. Dumped the tv years ago.

Are you sure? You get all the benefit of vhs with the ability to skip like vinyl.

I gave all of my laserdiscs save a couple away years ago.

Huh. Had a video disk player when I was a kid and even then it was considered old as all hell.

Laserdiscs or CEDs? I still have a LD player.

Loved laserdiscs. Had hundreds. Might still somewhere… don’t know. Quality was great. Never seen a ced.

CED was an analog groove like an audio record. They got one good play and then dirt and whatnot got into the lubricant on the disc and started causing skips.
