I never saw one of these that I remember, but I did acquire a used late 1950s-1960s reel to reel and assortment of tapes in the early 1970s. One of my contractor Dad's rich customers gave it to me, apparently their kids went off to college and careers, left this stuff at home and the parents were house cleaning. Lots of Count Basie music and others of that genre. I ended up giving it all away in my late teens.
