The text underneath proclaimed "In the 1980s, people could download video games from radio broadcasts by recording the audio onto cassette tapes. I member sharing computer files with my friends over CB (with a custom audio/microphone to serial adapter) back in the mid 80s to early 90s.

Whoa! Thats pretty cool, I dont remember hearing about sharing files or games through RF.

There were services where you could download Atari 2600 games via a phone line and a special cartridge in the 80s. They were generally better versions of what was out there already, as the download cart had more memory in it. The service operated over regular telephone lines like a normal modem.
