Ah. Danger noodles.

When I was very little my grandmother had a hundred year old house in the country that had no electricity but running water. I was taught to always take a lamp with me and inspect the toilet before sitting.

Imagine my shock twenty plus years later in a well built and sealed brick house to find a snake curled around my toilet seat at 4am. My husband used to make fun of me for always checking the toilet, it is a habit I have a compulsion for and can't not do it.
