The Internet of Things is a retarded mess. It's just waiting to be hacked. Who needs an internet-connected refrigerator? It will stop receiving security updates in a couple of years and get taken over by a botnet.

I figure for something like this it's better to go with a closed system within the home and surround the tech items in some type of faraday cage. Don't have to worry about the cables just the items that are connected to the system or closed system within the home.

Be nice to have faraday cage type stuff for everything. Custom built to the size of the tech item alone.

Anyone that uses an "Alexa" or whatever this ring thing is - anything that is connected to the internet with mic or camera always on - in their home is a fucking retard.
