Announcement and details.

https://brave.com/brave-search-beta/

Starting today, online users have a new independent option for search which gives them unmatched privacy. Whether they are already Brave browser users, looking to expand their online privacy protection with the all-in-one, integrated Brave Search in the Brave browser, or users of other browsers looking for the best-in-breed privacy-preserving search engine, they can all use the newly released Brave Search beta that puts users first, and fully in control of their online experience. Brave Search is built on top of a completely independent index, and doesn’t track users, their searches, or their clicks.

I can't wait to see what their pictures of "Happy White Couple" look like.

I tried your suggestion. Brave search scored maybe 85-90%. I'm pleasantly surprised and shocked to be honest

Very good metric to use. Also "african Americans" should show monkeys and gorillas etc.

Be well warned it could take several updates to get the bugs out. Ive been on Brave going on three years and beta was a bitch to sweat out. I love Brave and will dump the Duck when I feel its consistent enough to run Brave tight.

Just tried it and found it to be faster than DuckDuckGo. And also seems to bring up better search results. Thank's for the heads up.

Mojeek is another search engine which operates independently from Google. It also has its own index and ranking algorithms.

I Braved, American Inventors, and got the same string of obscure usual suspect darkies that google shits out.

Check Startpage.

Mojeek is supposed to be independent, but it added 'African' to American with predictable results. It was more pozzed than Google!

Its good when you're trying to research for a post while maintaining anonymity from 99% of other engines.

If you just use google or bing then you are forfeiting your real identity the moment you hit save on a post that links to an image, that quotes something, or discusses anything you just just searched for.

It seems to want to use my Firefox search engine.

It says No instructions for Firefox mobile. Should I wait for them to update?

iOS you might be waiting along time. Just a guess

Try this.

1) Go to https://search.brave.com/ on Firefox.

2) Click on the search box. There should be a new option to "+ add Brave Search" visible above "Change search settings."

So DuckDuckGo?

(((duckduckgo))) Never (((DDG))). Never.

This is the first time I’m hearing this. Aren’t they supposed to be private and the opposite of Google?
