Users outside of the U.S. will experience this feature with local results only (browsing history, bookmarks, and open tabs).

This means the Mozilla Foundation will sell your data.

No new data is collected, stored, or shared to make these new recommendations.

This means they’ve been selling your data for along time.

Firefox Suggest is a new feature that serves as a trustworthy guide ...

This means they’re now admitting it, because they want to not just sell your data; they also want to shove ads, because their “trusted partners” are paying them more money to do so.

The data we share with partners

feature

Oh, users can't wait for such a "feature"!

Brave pays you with shitcoins if you opt into the ad program.

I don't think it's even shit coins, now it's their own "tokens".

Regardless, I use them because never seeing ads is nice.

And articles are being written about why Firefox usage is crashing faster than the Hindenburg? I can't fathom why.

Look at who's bankrolling them. In a normal marketplace a firm that reliably loses market share every quarter for decades would be bankrupt. Since they're not, somebody's bankrolling their agenda. People don't give out free money for nothing. What are they getting for their investment that's worth more to Mozilla than making a good browser and gaining market share?

De-Googled chromium is a decent choice.

Use the about:config and turn off all that shite. Use this carefully and you will be rewarded(https://brainfucksec.github.io/hardening-firefox-2021)

Or just don’t use Firefox.

that too. Tor browser on the surface web is definitely a real option; the only thing is sometimes it breaks sites or you shouldn't download stuff through Tor (unless you trust the site of course). Like jootoob throws up blocks to Tor unless you enable it-which I don't.

I was with firefox early on, i uninstalled probably a year to 18months ago, they are now too woke and i refuse to support them any longer. It was once a very good browser.

Now woke? They kicked out their own founder who is the creator of Javascript

Havent kept up with firefox bs since before uninstalling, tbh, i got tired of all the negative things they were doing to the browser, not cared at all since uninstalling, they will do what they do. They dont care what userbase thinks now.

Fuck em!.

Ungoogled chromium or librefox with add-ons. .
