I wonder what it would actually take to fry those things. Like, can you simply get the frequency of the chip and use a modified cb radio? Can you make something the size of a tazer that would emmit an EM pulse while concield in your pocket?

I have heard a lot of claims over the years about how solar flairs and nuclear blasts will fry everything but I never seen a demonstration of EM being used to destroy electronics. I would be keen to read up on actual scientific studies about this subject.
