TP-Link could at least allow you to turn it off, and it looks like they're slowly rolling out updates to allow just that. I can see the logic of having it on by default for non-tech savvy users, though.

Yeah, it's just that they probably don't even mention it anywhere. It's not so much that it has these, but that it's just creating more congestion on already crowded bands. There are so many wifi networks around me that holding anything more than a G connection is impossible.
