So Microsoft defender was working a little too well.

Windows is increasingly becoming more of a virus as confirmed by their own malware protection.

On my second year of this. I've really really been enjoying it. Sure has its limits but it's my daily driver on 3 PCs

Interesting. I’ll give this a try.

Pretty soon it will flag itself, and we'll have Windows auto-immune disorders. Maybe once you can give the clot shot to computers.

So my c: drive is kinda full. My os is on it. Last time it said "can't install new update"... but a few days later it installed anyway.

Does windows delete stuff to install itself?

man i installed grub and windows has had trouble updating ever since, never allow windows to be your boot loader its the only way to even slightly hamper those retarded computer breaking updates

You install grub and linux on same machine after windows install to prevent windows sabotaging linux. Also disable secure boot and anything labeled "secure" in windows to be on the safe side.

It’s possible. It’s stores snapshots of the os when it dose updates. There’s also temporary files.

Linux is better.

Windows can keep gigabytes of old update files and other junk such as logfiles and system error logs, so this stuff might have been routinely deleted. allowing for the new update. Type [Win]+R to get the command box. Type cleanmgr into the box, and click on the 'delete system files' button to see how much there is to be deleted.

Microsoft makes shitty shit. Fucking garbage. They've been in this business how long? But they can't get it right.

I need a new computer. I don't want chromebook or windows or crapple and I'm too stupid to use Linux.

Linux runs and installs much like windows.

Lots of people will help. Search any problem online.

Windows may one day not allow access to this site.

Learn to use linux and use a windows dual boot for anything that really needs windows.

you can install linux on a usb and boot from it. the bigger the usb the more functionality and since most usbs are SSDs you will get a fast bootup time to boot

This is a great suggestion. 1TB usb drives are something like $50. Install Linux Mint on the usb drive and try to use it, see how far you get. If you manage to use Linux for all of your needs for 5 or 6 months without booting into Windows, you will be ready to use Linux full time.
