We have EVs. They work. They're called golf carts.
If you try to build an EV to compete with an ICE vehicle, you are doomed to failure.
edit: Instead, design a golf cart that can travel 2,000 miles with a 5 minute charge.
Most cars don't have anywhere near that range, and the range keeps dropping as economy restrictions make manufacturers install smaller gas tanks. It sucks balls.
They don't really care about the environment. We do. They only care about passing laws to line their pockets.
totally agree. ebikes/scooters i think have a place in urban commuting, but like you said when you scale these things higher they make less sense given our current constraints.
I recall seeing stories about scooters/e-bikes spontaneously combusting as well. Can't keep them outside, they will get wet and burn. Can't keep them in your garage, they might burn your house down. Solution: don't buy one.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions, but I don't think these scumbags making laws restricting our freedom to travel have any good intentions.
There's a container ship in the middle of the ocean burning with these things because the ocean water got on the electrics. FFS.
The waste from expired solar panels is reportedly a hidden golem because they're extremely difficult to recycle. They have yet to figure out how to recycle them.
Inferior tech unless you are on a golf course.
That shipping boat accident is probably the end of evs
Hahaha, good one!
Oh, you're serious.
