Salt water -- specifically saline solution -- is a good conductor of electricity. Aside from the fact that those EV's are just an accident with fire and explosion waiting to happen, any car exposed to salt water is only good for salvage until immediately pressure washed in desalinated water with a surfactant fluid (like Dawn liquid soap).
