Great idea, but it will not go forward for two reasons. 'They' will not be able to sell water for $3.00 a gallon and it would crush the 'drought (fear) agenda'.

I haven't read the article yet but economies of scale should resolve the cost problem.

I prefer to use a old school pressure, some stainless steel tubing, and a sauce pot. Fit tube to cooker lid with a drill and food grade adhesive. Fill with salt water and boil. I like to use a camp fire it make it seem like I'm doing it to survive, if I pretend.
