So glad my company doesn't use them. I don't know if it's a regional thing or what but every one of their sales people I've dealt with have super aggressive shady assholes. Before you say "oh that's all sales people," it's worse.

I'm talking calling up to 5 times a day on both my cell and desk phone. Multiple emails a day. Messaging me any platform they could every single day for weeks despite telling them no. Eventually they started spoofing local numbers to get me to pick up. I knew they were doing this because I ended up picking up one day and oh it's whateverhisname from crowd strike who I know from his emails is based in another state.

I won't deal with a company that allows such disgusting behavior.

I usually just tell them "aggressive marketing makes me flaccid"

I'm stuck at work twiddling my thumbs after 3hrs down. Bored out of my mind at this point.

Pretty much what I'm doing. Made sure they had my servers on the list but I don't have access to fix it so I just have to wait while people screetch that my stuff is down. I brought up what I could but I have two large regions down. Listening to offshore argue with onshore about the best way to approach fixing everything.

Yep. Gonna be an all nighter for me. 3000 of our servers in a blue screen reboot loop.

I heard you have to get into BIOS to fix or are you just rolling back to previous image?

I don't have admin access for VMware so I'm just on a call making sure they get mine up. They are mounting drives to a working machine, removing the file, remounting, and rebooting. Now our db just went down taking us down completely again.

For standalone hosts - boot into safe mode or recovery and delete the update file and reboot.

For cloud you're fucked unless you can detach volumes from the VM. I guess you could roll back if you have a good snapshot before the update rolled out.

Azure is a whole other ball of wax.

*Based on the workaround instructions my MSP sent out.

lol. Truck's working fine let's go to work.

I already drive a lot for work, and trucking is starting to sound really good. Especially the working alone and not having to deal with other people's crap.

I'm right there with you. very much enjoy long drives.

Oh no.

Anyway...

So glad I don't depend on that company or any other, actually.

The market discounts everything. The share price fell this entire week before even the attack happened.
