This is the road to hell. You all realize this, right? Once we move away from a culture that rewards excellence, we are fucked. We (when I say "we" I mean "they') have already moved away from a system of meritocracy to one of mediocrity. The result -- school and college grades become meaningless. The best students are sidelined, and the worst are elevated above their capabilities. It's a recipe for total disaster. We are watching a slow train wreck, and we are all on the train.
