For context Fuentes just got back after Milo and Kanye snuck him into Mar-A-Lago unannounced, for the sole purpose of framing Trump as a "friendly admirer" of the right fringe.
The gambit was intended to create headlines by associating Fuentes to Trump.
Apparently, it didn't garner the intended credence for Kanye, Milo, or Fuentes and so now they're all making benign statements as if theyre masterminds, but it's coming across as petulant.

Sadly, Fuentes statement reveals he was well aware he was intended to be a sacrificial pawn. So he, Milo and Kanye were basically lying their asses off that entire evening knowing full-well they were setting him up.
Imagine the gall of these 3 guys. Fuentes basically saying "I was setting up Trump because the maga movement left me." Milo saying he did it because Trump wasn't Christian enough. And Kanye did it because... Well, because he was running for president and wants to take Trump down. Kanye thought it would help to get a headline if he got into a fight with Trump after asking him to be his VP , which Kanye obviously couldn't possibly believe was even a real question.
Instead all 3 burned their bridge to the conservative movement.
