Every place ive been outside of fairbanks and los anchorage were nice.

I have a soft spot for the steese highway. Its a bit north of fairbanks and runs east to the yukon river. Dead ends at a town called circle.

But the road is very nice and gives some nice views. Thats gold mining country.

I just finished reading about their ghost gold mine. Quite a lot of gold came out of it for such a short time frame. I wonder what the odds of finding gold on land that you purchase are.

As they say up there, gold is where you find it. I have a few acres up there, in gold country, but havent mined it. Only used it for rec.

Quit talking about alaska dude. Making me miss it like a dead dog. :P

Coolest thing though, 0 property tax in alot of places. 0 on mine. No cops, schools, fire department etc though hence no taxes.

But man. Talk about freedom. Nearest cop is 3 hours away by road. (state troopers. 0 local police)
