I successfully canned some pickled beets. Didn't know there would be such a satisfying indication that it worked. Something about the sound of the top inverting is just so great. The beets came out of my garden also.

Boiling water method. Basically just processing it by boiling it underwater for about 10 minutes.

Thats how my wife does it with tomatoes I didn't know it also worked for beats.

I guess I'll have to make a post after I open them and eat them and if I'm still posting the day after then yes it also works for beets.

Does your wife add acid to the tomatoes?
